海潮書聲

本件公共藝術以「海潮書聲」為主題，以麥寮國小的地域特色及學校所重視的閱讀活動為創作重點，結合了當地的自然環境及人文特色，創造了學生在海中閱讀書本並與魚群悠遊的畫面構成，利用圖像符號將大海與麥寮國小之間的關係結合，加深本件作品的在地內涵及文化意義，透過紅外線感應發聲器發出海的聲音，海潮聲與讀書聲相伴這是海的孩子才能擁有的文化景致，更能引起觀賞者對於作品的共鳴，拉進作品與學子的距離。

The aim of this work is to present the characteristic of Mailaio area and to emphasize that reading-activity as one of the main principal of the school. The work creates an imaginative world that people are reading in the sea with colorful fishes. It uses symbolic characters to emphasize local features and cultural meaning. This work also provides an interactive sound machine to make the sound of sea waves, in order to arouse the resonance of culture and the self-identity.
